Frequently Asked Questions

Are you available?
Availability is always the first thing to check for, especially if you are requesting a specific DJ.

Can you provide music for my wedding ceremony also?
Absolutely!   We have supplied music for numerous ceremonies in the past several years.   We personally meet with you to assist you in the coordination of the ceremony and help you pick out your music selections.   We can also provide you with a sample CD loaded with ceremony music.

Do you charge to set up?
We never charge for set up or break down time.

Do you have a website?
Ha!

What time will my DJ arrive?
Your DJ will arrive at least 60 minutes prior to the arrival of your guests. He will be set up, appropriately attired and ready to play when your guests arrive.

When does the DJ's time begin?
Your DJ's time begins when your guests begin to arrive to the reception site.   If we are supplying music for your ceremony, the time would begin one half hour prior to the scheduled ceremony time.

What if we want additional time?
We charge 150.00 per hour for additional hours once the event has begun, with overtime authorization from our client.   Of course these fees can be pro-rated.

What if I have a string quartet, harpist, etc, play during the cocktail time, when would the DJ's time begin?
Typically there is no charge provided the setup time doesn't exceed 60 minutes before the scheduled start time.   If set is necessary beyond 60 minutes prior to start time, there will be an additional fee.   This will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

What if we have a special song on our own CD that is not on your list?   Can we bring it?
Definitely!   We'll talk about your music requests long before the big day and make arrangements to play it - along with any other song or musical interests/requests you might have.   Be sure to mark your CD so that we can return it to you.

How far in advance do we need to reserve a date?
Many Saturdays are booked 9 - 15 months in advance and sell out quickly.   We suggest booking your DJ as soon as you have set your date.

What does it take to secure a date?
A 20% deposit and a signed contract/agreement will secure your date.

Are you secured?
Yes.   Our company carries a $1,000,000.00 liability insurance policy.

Do you take requests?
We are happy to take requests, within the parameters set by the client.   The DJ does have professional discretion as to which requests are played and when.   The DJ will determine the appropriateness of the songs based on crowd response.

What do you do if someone asks for a song we didn't want?
Our policy is to strictly adhere to the guidelines requested by the client.   However, we will inform the client of repeated requests for a particular song or genre (banned) and let the client make the call.

Do you have professional equipment?
Yes, we use professional DJ equipment.

Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, we always carry backup equipment with us.

What is your cancellation policy?
If circumstances arise that necessitates canceling your event, all monies paid,   EXCEPT the non-refundable deposit, will be refunded.  

Do you offer lighting or other effects?
We have really fun dance floor lighting packages available.   We also have other party karaoke and other props available should you desire them.
